SME Assembly 2023 (Bilbao 13-15 November 2023) is organised by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Commission under the title Promoting Enterprise: powering Europe’s SMEs and start-ups toward a sustainable future. The conference started with the annual Schumpeter “Innovation in Enterprise” lecture delivered by the distinguished economist Professor Saras Sarasvathy (University of Virginia Darden School of Business). Professor Sarasvathy presented a journey of examination and enquiry, analysing how expert entrepreneurs think and what lessons we can learn from them. Congratulations to Saras on a very moving lecture, and being proud of having Professor Sarasvathy aa a part of the faculty of our doctoral program ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIVENESS. Professors Slavica Singer, Sunčica Oberman Peterka and Mirela Alpeza are participating in the conference.
