This year’s, 29th conference on entrepreneurship PODIM – “The Winning Products” was held in Maribor on March 25-26, 2009. Professor Slavica Singer, Mirela Alpeza and Mirna Balkić participated at the conference with the paper “Corporate Entrepreneurship: Is Entrepreneurial Behaviour Possible in a Large Company?”. The paper describes and discusses a case on entrepreneurial behavior of employees of Hrvatska pošta d.d. It represents a further research of the subject on which Mirna Balkić worked on in her Master’s thesis at Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship, mentored by professor Singer. A doctoral seminar was also held at the conference, at which Julia Perić and Anamarija Delić participated, as well as a meeting of partner institutions of the ICES Tempus project, at which they were joined by professors Sanja Pfeifer, Marijana Zekić Sušac and Mirna Leko-Šimić.

Today (March 06, 2009), Maja Žunić, student of the 4th class of Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship successfully defended her masters’ thesis entitled “Entrepreneurial Management of Long-term Development of a Profit Center” before the committee of professors consisting of chairman Marijan Karić, Ph.D., Nataša Šarlija, Ph.D., and Stipan Penavin, Ph.D. (committee members). We congratulate ja and wish her a lot more entrepreneurial successes!
