Students will get acquainted with peculiarities of work and management of family businesses. The special emphasis is on transition of family enterprises onto the next generation. This is a complex combination of different managerial processes which are influenced and predominated by family relationships and private interest of individuals who are stakeholders in these enterprises. Much emphasis is on smaller family enterprises. However, knowledge received at the course will assist also in growing efforts of family businesses. The participants of the course are expected to be of different origins, but mostly entrepreneurs developing their family businesses and second-generation successors and first group and different profiles of professionals, both from private and public service with the expertise and focus on SMEs and family businesses.
